Illinois 2008 Poverty Summit, December 10, 2008
For those in Illinois, Sarah Burd-Sharps, Co-director of the Measure of America, is scheduled to speak on a plenary panel for the state on December 10, 2008. The newly-established Illinois Commission on the Elimination of Poverty has targeted a 50% reduction of extreme poverty in the state by 2015.
